MGDC X FKA twigs, 2024

The Graham Company's collaboration with FKA twigs began in the fall of 2023 after Maclaine noticed her interactions with Graham's Instagram posts.

The engagement inspired the Company to invite FKA twigs to be honored at the 98th season Gala. Maclaine proposed that she perform Martha Graham's solo, Satyric Festival Song, at the Gala performance as well. With the green light, Maclaine project-managed the collaboration on the Company's behalf, coordinating internationally to bring the performance to fruition.

As a result, FKA twigs debuted as the newest member of the Martha Graham Dance Company on April 18, 2024. Read more here and here.

In May 2024, Maclaine captured the Graham Studio Series: Suite from Appalachian Spring, featuring the 2024 Graham Company and Artistic Director Janet Eilber in an open rehearsal performance of Martha Graham's Suite from Appalachian Spring.

Baye & Asa were commissioned to create a new work for the Graham Company's 97th season. Maclaine captured their rehearsal moments, which aired with ALL ARTS Dispatch on April 17, 2023.
